Josh S. Cutler, a native of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is a former state legislator, attorney, and newspaper editor. Cutler is a graduate of Skidmore College, Suffolk University Law School, and the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth (MA, environmental policy). He is also the author of Mobtown Massacre: Alexander Hanson and the Newspaper War of 1812 (History Press, 2019), and The Boston Gentlemen’s Mob: Maria Chapman and the Abolition Riot of 1835 (History Press, 2021).
